Catherine Brown

Catherine is our News Editor in Scotland. She brings more than 15 years experience as a broadcast journalist to the role and has previously worked for BBC News, talk107 and Real Radio. As well as presenting GMTV's regional news bulletins, along with reporting and editing stories, Catherine has responsibility for business development at Macmillan Media in Scotland.

Mary Anne McMail

Maryanne McMail

Maryanne is our Finance & Marketing Manager. A highly experienced business professional, Maryanne has acquired a wealth of knowledge working in a broad spectrum of business-to-business markets. In addition to controlling the finances of Macmillan Media Scotland and Northern ireland, she is responsible for corporate marketing and business strategy in Scotland, Glasgow-based Maryanne is also an avid photographer.

Katie Hunter

From Holyrood to Hollywood: Katie has interviewed hundreds of people during her five years as a journalist including some of the biggest names in politics and showbiz. Katie presents GMTV’s regional news bulletins as well as filming and editing her own news reports. Before joining our Scotland team, she worked at Radio Clyde in Glasgow and Moray Firth Radio in Inverness.

Gerry Cassidy

Gerry is one of our multi-skilled video journalists and regularly fronts GMTV’s regional news. He joined our presenting team after a stint as a field reporter in Aberdeen and has previously worked in newsrooms across Scotland, including Northsound, Radio Borders and River FM. He is a graduate of the University of Glasgow and has a post-graduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism.

Brian O’Neill

With more then a decade of radio and television experience, Brian joined Macmillan Media from ITV Tyne Tees in Newcastle. From anchoring live radio for twelve hours during the July 7th terror attacks to jogging for charity across the Tyne Bridge with Jimmy Saville, Brian has done it all! As a video journalist, his role ranges from filming stories and interviews to presenting bulletins on our GMTV service.

Elspeth Badger

Elspeth is one of our two video journalists in the north of Scotland and is based in Dundee. She joined our Scotland team after five years as a radio journalist in the central belt. Working for River FM, SAGA radio and all-speech station talk107, she covered many diverse stories including elections, murder trials, multi-million pound culture projects and sports.

Katie Paterson

Katie Paterson

Katie is one of our most versatile video journalists and since joining Macmillan Media has reported on a multitude of stories across Scotland. She has a wide range of production skills which she has accumulated from a short film and documentary background, and has worked on various productions with companies such as Atonomi, Diversity Film and Tartan TV.

John Robertson

John is one of our video journalists in the north of Scotland and is based in Aberdeen. He is a trained cameraman, and graduated from Aberdeen College with a diploma in Television Production. John has covered many major breaking stories for GMTV including the fatal North Sea helicopter crash in April 2009. John also has a passion for making documentaries in his spare time.

Patrick Stutt

Patrick Stutt

Patrick relocated from Belfast to Glasgow to help launch GMTV Scotland and is our main broadcast director. An experienced cameraman, Patrick has worked on many of Macmillan Media's corporate film productions. Patrick's career has taken him across Europe, Africa and Australia on programmes for BBC, RTE and TG4.
